Lauri Walker

Hi, my name is Lauri Walker, I am a Program Manager for the California Center for Sustainable Energy’s (CCSE) special events including the annual Solar Energy Week (Family Solar Day, Conference, Residential Homes Tour and Commercial Tour) and Street Smart. I  serve as the lead for Rebuild Central, a program and outreach effort that is committed to providing fire survivors and homeowners with information on rebuilding and retrofitting with green, energy efficient, and sustainable products.  I am also involved in developing new programs and outreach for CCSE.

I have more than 18 years of experience in the area of energy efficiency. Prior to CCSE, I worked for the California state-wide marketing and outreach campaign, FLEX YOUR POWER, serving as one of the Southern California regional account manager. My duties included reaching out to  Residential New Construction Home Builders to promote green building.  I also worked with small businesses and regional and national retailers to assist with implementing energy efficiency outreach events and programs.

Prior to my time with Flex Your Power, I worked for D&R International who administered the National ENERGY STAR® program and served as a liaison between Investor Owned Utilities (IOUs) and large municipalities in California. I’ve worked for San Diego Gas & Electric’s residential energy efficiency group where I was responsible for the implementation and oversight of residential lighting program, the Energy Information Center, and an online audit program.

I have served as a member of the state-wide Lighting and Appliance committee that was tasked with selecting and overseeing a state-wide contractor responsible for operations and outreach for the California IOU Lighting and Appliance programs.
